field mice scurry over
a hill of harvested grain
abundant blessings


Coming and Going

Cat at the door
cries to go out
snow-laden wind
howling to come in


This may not be the best haiku verse ever,
but it aptly describes the climate here today.

again the silly crow
flies over the puddle
oh, vanity!
